Hello John,
Unfortunately, there is no way to reduce the brake sensitivity. That is the first time I’ve heard this type of issue, have you had other scooters that use the same type of braking system? Electromagnetic braking is automatic and will engage when the throttle is not being used. This is a safety feature for medical scooters.
in reply to: brake sensitivity on prideHi Kelly,
According to the specs, the pursuit is rated for 8° slopes at most. I would not recommend taking it up a 20% grade slope as it will likely burn out the motor.
If you want something that can handle a better slope, you might want to consider the Pride Wrangler.
in reply to: Weak pride pursuitHi Papa,
It could be the speed pot or batteries. Batteries usually only last about a year and a half. You are going to need a tech to confirm and to get the spare parts to repair it. The 2000 celebrity is quite old, you might want to consider a new pride scooter, they have made some pretty interesting new models that you can view with the link below:

in reply to: My scooter beeps 6 times and will not goYou would need to manually unfold it by using the latch. Please refer to the user manual. Do you have the auto folding or manual folding model?
in reply to: scooter will not unfoldYou cannot. The reverse speed is fixed.
in reply to: Reverse too slowYou can contact https://www.statewidemobility.com and schedule a service call. A technician will come to your home to diagnose the issue.
in reply to: Battery replacementLindy,
Keep in mind that the batteries are only good for about 1.5 years. After that, you need to replace them or it won’t work.
I would have someone check the batteries first, if you replace them and it still doesn’t work then let us know.
in reply to: Mobility scooter won’t turn on please helpHello Brian,
While it may seem ridiculous, this is probably the only option because the manufacturer doesn’t sell individual parts for the transaxle assembly. Sorry about that, best of luck.
in reply to: Golden buzz around ex transaxle repairA full battery charge should reach just above 14 Volts (yes even with a 12 volt battery).
This is a battery issue. Scooter batteries tend to only last about 1.5 years. Below is a link to our topic regarding 2 beeps with Pride Mobility Scooters scooters.
in reply to: Batteries good but acts low. It’s hard to tell without having the scooter and being able to diagnose it. You should refer to the beep code reference sheet in the user manual. Here is a link to the user manual and a beep code reference page on our forum:

in reply to: Scooter problemWhat is the make and model of your unit?
in reply to: MANY BEEPS 9?/ THEN 5/ WONT STARTI’m not sure I understand. Please elaborate?
in reply to: Drive 3310 chairThere are many things that could be wrong, it could be a wiring issue or it could be a bad display. Ultimately, you will need a technician to come to your home to diagnose the issue. https://www.statewidemobility.com does in-home service and repairs.
in reply to: Power to wheels, but to not consoleYou must activate the brakes with the yellow lever most likely. After doing so, restart the unit and it should work fine. Please check the user manual for instructions on how to activate the free-wheel lever(s). If you can roll the scooter around when the unit is off, that means its in free-wheel mode and it will not work when you turn it on that way. The unit needs to be locked in place with the manual brakes on in order to work, this is a safety feature.
