Are you saying that the Jazzy wheelchair goes forward and backward at a good speed but when it turns left and right it slows down? If so, that is pretty normal. A power wheelchair will go slower while taking a turn when compared to going straight as a safety feature.
The Jazzy 614 HD is a heavy-duty unit that takes a lot of power to rotate. If you are noticing that it is behaving unusually, then perhaps you need to call a technician to take a look at the motor and controller.
in reply to: Jazzy 614hd turning slowThat is unusual, seems like the controller might be going bad. I would say after 12 years, you got your money’s worth from the maxima scooter and now they make really awesome units that are affordable. We also offer to finance if that helps. I would recommend checking out the newer Pride Scooters.
in reply to: Pride Maxima has mind of its ownUnfortunately, the electric wheelchairs that are sold now-a-days are not going to offer any solution for your father. If you find an electrical engineer to customize one for you, that might be an option.
in reply to: cover for joy stickSounds like you have serious damage to your unit. The fact that your freewheel lever is stuck means that something is physically preventing it from moving. Did you crash the scooter?
in reply to: Self Repair ResourcesNo, you can damage your vehicle. You can also cause an accident. DO NOT ATTEMPT.
Contact our sales team and ask to speak with Dustin, he is our lift specialist. He can help you.
in reply to: Harmar LiftElectric wheelchairs are great because you don’t need to use physical strength to turn the wheels. It’s really best that you ask your doctor for advice on this, no random stranger online is going to be able to give you advice without knowing more information. Have you consulted with a physician about this?
If you do decide to move forward with the acquisition of a power wheelchair, keep in mind that we have the widest selection of reliable models with free shipping and no sales tax.
in reply to: Electric vs Manual WheelchairHello, I recommend watching the ride on this topic post:
The video shows you how to locate the serial number on a few different types of mobility scooters, the Monarch Brand is not something we carry. We only carry products by well-known and reputable manufacturers.
in reply to: Monarch VogueI could not find anything other than the user manual and then this general diagnostic sheet for Victory Scooters. Pride listed it in the Raptor resources section, so I’m guessing that this will help.

in reply to: Self Repair ResourcesI’m sorry but we have never carried or worked with Rascal Scooters. I would contact the MFG or visit their website for a troubleshooting guide.

in reply to: Rascal 305 just quit one dayYou need a technician to diagnose the scooter in person, there are too many variables to know what could be wrong.
in reply to: Help with my 4 wheels? You need a technician to diagnose the scooter in person, there are too many variables to know what could be wrong.
in reply to: Help with my 4 wheels?A spark on the controller means its probably missing the little plastic cap that goes over the port. Your charging port needs to be replaced. The batteries dying quickly could mean the batteries are dead or you might have a bad charger. Use this video to troubleshoot the batteries:
in reply to: Charged fuse sparkIt could be the controller, there’s no way to know what’s wrong unless we can physically test the unit with a multimeter. I recommend contacting a local tech. If you bought it less than a year ago you should be able to file a warranty claim through the retailer that sold it to you.
in reply to: Scooter will not move.Sebastian,
Some of our team members are really into RC hobbies, specifically drone racing. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this topic… However, as a businessman, I cannot give advice on how to make mobility scooters faster since that would totally void the warranty and create a huge liability for us as a dealer.
That being said, Google and Youtube are wonderful tools that can help you accomplish many things, things that I cannot condone or recommend… 🙂
