Hi Christopher, I apologize for the delayed response, our forum is new and we’re still having trouble keeping up with questions.
To answer your question about the P327: It has a semi recline seat similar to the other power wheelchairs, basically they get a recline up to 15 degrees from an upright seating position of 90 degrees.
Check out the product page here: https://www.mobilityscootersdirect.com/merits-health-p327-vision-super-power-wheelchair.html
in reply to: Merits Vision P-327 seatYes, the Merits P320 power wheelchair is an off-board charging type. It comes with an off-board charger. This particular model is very popular among our customers. It’s one of many great power wheelchairs by Merits and I highly recommend it.
The user manual from Drive for the Scout Mobility Scooter says that it should not get wet and if happen to get it wet you should try your best to dry the scooter ASAP. Based on that information, I would not recommend using the unit while it’s snowing out. I have a customer based out of CO and often he uses the Scout 4 wheel to get to and from the car when he goes out. He uses it on roads that have been plowed when it’s not snowing and has trouble sometimes because the wheels would spin. Due to the low ground clearance and smaller wheels, this is not ideal for handling wet roads. My customer only uses this when it’s dry out, he loves the scooter for indoor and dry weather although he wishes he had gotten the 3 wheel version that’s a bit easier to turn.
in reply to: Does the Scout 4 Wheel Handle The Snow? There are many heavy duty models made by Pride that are considered “high weight capacity mobility scooters”. The one with the highest weight capacity as of now (4/15/2017) is the Pride Maxima 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter or the 3 Wheel version.
If you’re in the market for heavy duty models that are designed to handle individuals with obesity, I recommend reading this blog post.

in reply to: Best Mobility Scooters For Going Off Road? When dealing with extra large power wheelchairs, with someone who is obese, I personally trust pride mobility. Under the Jazzy 614HD or the Jazzy 1450 , these products can have a custom size seat built just for your needs. In fact, the chair seat can go up to 32″ in width and 28″ in depth. My own two cents tells me to go with the industry leader in bariatric power wheelchairs Pride Mobility. For even more information power wheelchairs with extra wide seating you should check out the nice selection of heavy duty power wheelchairs.

Andrew Fatalo. Reason: More useful information
I would highly recommend you look at the Pride Mobility Jazzy Air. The Pride Jazzy Air was a top selling power wheelchair with elevated seat in 2017. There are not many power wheelchairs chairs out there that have this configuration. Prides Jazzy Air is the industry leader in this category.
There are many other options to choose from if you visit our page that shows electric wheelchairs with elevating seats.

Hello Frank,
There are in fact some power wheelchairs that offer an elevating seat option such as:
Now that we are near 20 years in to this industry alot has changed. We find it that more customers are now concerned with color and style. The reason is people have adjusted to technology and see the benefits. Now how awesome would it be to get around in something fancy rather than the shopping scooters in almost any department store? For instance check out the availability of some of colorful mobility scooters eWheels offer. There are some other stylish mobility scooters by Charged Mobility as well.
in reply to: What's Your Favorite Color Mobility Scooter?Another useful way of dealing with repairs is to contact the manufacturer of your mobility scooter directly. As the manufacturers are here to support its dealers such as Mobility Scooters Direct, they also can guide you in the direction of where to get help. For instance if you call Pride Mobility directly and you live in South Dakota, Pride Mobility will be able to provide you with a technicians name and phone number, closest to you. This would be an authorized Pride Mobility service technician. Please understand that not all companies who sell mobility scooters, service them as well. We find it that less than 50% of dealers cater to the warranty. We provide in-home service for new products. This includes parts and labor. This is a contract agreed by both parties, the dealer and manufacturer. If you are outside of the warranty period, you would be required to pay for parts & labor independently. It is always best to buy a new unit versus a used product just for this reason alone.
Yes you most certainly can. Disney World is a great place to bring your mobility scooter. Many people on a daily basis bring their own when they travel. This helps beat the steep rental fees offered by Disney and other companies in the area. You will find that there is an array of mobility scooters, small and light to heavy duty. If you have a way to transport it, they will accommodate it. Disney has zero tolerance for aggressive use, and they may ask you to not use the scooter if they think there is a safety risk at stake.
in reply to: Can I bring my mobility scooter to Disney World?Good Morning Anastasia,
That is great you enjoy products from Golden Technologies. We have many happy customers that have chosen that mobility scooter manufacturer. The highest weight capacity mobility scooter offered by Golden Technologies would be the Avenger. It has a weight capacity of 500lbs. You can learn more about the features, specifications, and pictures here: https://www.mobilityscootersdirect.com/mobility-scooters/heavy-duty-mobility-scooters/avenger-mobility-scooter-4-wheel.html
The best unit out there at the time being is the Pride Mobility Go-Go Sport 4 wheel if your main focus is to use the unit out doors. With a 3 wheel you will have better turning radius so that is best for indoors.
The Go Go Sport has enough power to keep you going for a long time and that will handle well on grass, dirt however gravel is not suggested.
