What make and model are you working with? Have you checked the user manual? Is it beeping?
in reply to: Brake failureYou have to replace the batteries. Batteries are only good for 1 year on average, if you’re lucky you will get 1.5 years life out of your batteries.
Battery shop did not check the internal resistance of each cell in the battery, they only checked to see what the voltage was. The voltage may appear to be at the right voltage level when you check a battery that is charged. However, if you start using the battery, you will see that the cell’s internal resistance is bad.
in reply to: Curious problem with Battery not fully chargingHello Henry,
There are plenty of folding mobility scooters and folding electric wheelchairs to choose from on our website.
If you want some guidance on the different options and features, I’d recommend calling our sales manager Dustin who is very knowledgable when it comes to folding mobility devices.
You can reach Dustin directly using our toll-free phone number or by chatting with him.
in reply to: Best light weight scooter or electric chairHello, soldering is not required. I’m not sure what you’ve done, but if you needed to solder anything then you’re doing something wrong.
in reply to: No power after replacing batteriesThere are four #2 Phillip’s head screws on the underside of the console.
This will open the console.in reply to: PotentiometerAnthony, I can surely understand your point of view and appreciate your response. Customers that live in areas that don’t have many medical supply stores nearby are often left without an option to shop for mobility scooters that they can physically see and test ride. This is probably not the case for you, but many customers don’t have that luxury of going to a local store to see the product before they buy it. Furthermore, most local stores that sell these types of products only carry a few models at a time whereas we have hundreds of different models to choose from. Online shopping is not for everyone, but we try our best to keep our customers happy even if it means taking a loss on a sale.
If you take pictures or video of your Mini Rider, we can have our technician take a look and see if there is something we can recommend to fix it.
in reply to: Noise from the front section of an E V MiniriderOnce your scooter gets as much water damage as you described, there is less than a 1% chance that it will continue to work.
I’m sorry Bill, but your mobile device is NOT water resistant whatsoever. All of the parts are likely to rust out and not work anymore. I encourage you to visit https://www.buysellwheelchairs.com if you want to get a used mobility device at a very affordable price.
in reply to: flash floodSorry to hear that Anthony, we don’t really promote EV Rider products. Many of our customers have been left in a bad situation where the manufacturer does not help out when a customer receives a product that was damaged during shipment. They basically tell us that the customer shouldn’t have signed for it if they suspected that the product was damaged. Ironically, the customers cannot tell if the product is damaged before signing off on it. It’s not like the delivery person has time to wait around while you unbox it and test it out… If you decide to get another unit, I’d recommend going with a brand like Pride Mobility or Drive Medical – they would never treat a customer that way.
in reply to: Noise from the front section of an E V MiniriderYour front shroud cover might be rubbing against the wheel, did you check to see if that is the case?
I would contact EV Rider Directly, ask to speak with Juan.
in reply to: Noise from the front section of an E V MiniriderAs for the scooter going backward. It is very probable that the scooters potentiometer is out of the center, or something is obstructing it to return to center.
the potentiometer is the device that your throttle levers are attached to which regulate movement. It’s very similar to the part that would control a windshield wiper on a car. You’re going to either need to replace it or look for obstructions. Pride Mobility will send out replacement parts if you’re under warranty. Otherwise, you’re going to need to contact a service provider. We recommend https://www.statewidemobility.com

in reply to: Throttle CreepWe have several options on our “off road power wheelchair” category page. Check them out and call the sales staff if you have any questions. They’re very friendly and not-pushy at all.
in reply to: Outdoor Power ChairsThis is a model that is discontinued and we have never carried it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a ton of feedback for your issue. Personally, I don’t think the motor is rated to do the type of hauling you’re doing. You will continue to burn out motors hauling heavy things and pushing lawn-mowers most likely.
in reply to: 1170 XL – E675 vs E660 MotorsI’m guessing it’s just not hooking on because you’re not going in straight. You need to have the 2 pieces lined up almost perfectly. Most of the time I myself have a little trouble connecting the rear and the front together because I didn’t have them lined up properly when trying to re-connect.
in reply to: my victory 10 scooter won't lock togetherNo problem. Keep in mind that now you can buy a new scooter starting at $699. If you are looking for a second-hand mobility scooter you could always try searching https://www.buysellwheelchairs.com too – its like ebay but only deals with mobility products.
