Scooter got wet or the horn is malfunctioning. If it’s the horn, you need to get it replaced or it will never stop. Did you purchase from us?
in reply to: Pride scooter one long constant beepIs the manual brake lever engaged? If not it will not work.
If you can roll your scooter around while it’s off, then your manual brake lever is not engaged. Look for a yellow lever and switch it then restart your scooter. That should do it.
The batteries are on these scooters typically are only good for about 1.5 years. After that, you need to replace them with new 12 volt SLA batteries. Take the batteries out, then read the label to see what the total amp hours are and we can help you find replacement batteries.
in reply to: Scooter won't stop going forwardI’m sorry, but we do not know any repair techs that work on chargers. You can usually buy a new charger for less than the cost to repair one. Do you know what type of charger it is?
in reply to: Pride Apex EpicYou should contact a repair tech, its going to be impossible to diagnose without handling the unit in person.

in reply to: Noise from the front section of an E V MiniriderCould be many things, have you checked your batteries? Are they showing loss of battery capacity as your start to give it throttle?
in reply to: ew36 drive problemThere is not enough information provided to know the solution here. If you could, please upload a video so that we can hear the sound. I would also show us any other issues you’ve had with it in the video.
in reply to: Motor chatterThe Maxima scooter that you have is pretty out-dated, finding replacement parts might not even be possible. Unfortunately, this is probably not a good model to give away if its not working. Maybe you can take the chair off and offer it to someone if it’s in good condition. But the rest of the unit may not be useful anymore.
in reply to: Pride Maxima error code flashHello, from the description of your problem, you have an electrical issue.
You either have a wire loose on the electronic brake, which is the lever
you use to put the machine in to freewheel mode, or you have a loose
connection where the scooter comes apart. The Maxima comes apart and
separates from the front half and the rear half. There are wire connectors
that allow the current to pass through the rest of the scooter. The
giveaway here is when you sit on it, you get the electronic brake issue,
which is a 5 flash or 5 beeps. If it operates with you, not in the scooter,
this is just another identifier that you have a short somewhere within the
wire harness from the brake to the controller. I would strongly recommend
that you have a technician assess and repair your scooter.in reply to: Pride Maxima SC 900 Solenid Brake TripHello, it appears you may have a charging issue, or the batteries
are not working correctly. You mentioned you tested them with a voltmeter.
How many volts did you get on each battery? You may want to check the
connection points where the scooter comes apart. If there is rust or any
sort of material that is causing a bad connection, this can surely reduce
the power of your scooter. I would strongly suggest that you take the scooter apart and
inspect the connector where the front half and the rear half join together.
If your voltage is correct and the connectors are clean, I would suspect
that either your transaxle (motor) is failing. There can be many variables
as to the cause of this issue, I would suggest having the scooter looked at
by a professional.-
