Warranty For Batteries & Chargers

Mobility Scooters Direct warrants to the original purchaser (user) that all new batteries shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for 90 days from the date of the original purchase. 

If Mobility Scooters Direct determines that the battery we sold is defective from the manufacturer, we will ship a replacement(s) at no cost to the purchaser. 

Batteries and Chargers are subject to the following conditions and limitations. 

1. The battery shall be the proper size, design, and capacity for the application. Failure to use the proper battery for the application will void any and all warranties.
2. The battery shall be handled, stored, and installed properly. Final installation shall be completed no more than 3 months from the date of receipt.
3. The battery shall be operated in conjunction with a current limited, constant voltage charging system, and otherwise operated and maintained in accordance with instructions. 
4. The user shall permit examination of the battery by a Mobility Scooters Direct representative by shipping the batteries back to us for warranty claim examination.
5. Only the remaining unused portion of the original battery's warranty shall apply to the replacement battery. 
6. This warranty is void if the battery is subject to misuse, abuse, visible physical damage, or if the battery becomes unusable due to fire, wreckage, flooding, freezing, or any other acts of God. 
7. The above stated warranties are in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. In no event shall Mobility Scooters Direct be responsible for any incidental www.mobilityscootersdirect.com shall not be liable for any defects in, or any breach of contracts relating to the quality or performance of the above equipment under any theory of law. 
8. These limited warranties apply to the original purchaser (user) and are not transferable. 
9. The user shall promptly notify Mobility Scooters Direct in the event of an alleged defect.

Battery Chargers

Battery Chargers made by our manufacturing partners - Mobility Scooters Direct warrants to the original purchaser (user) that battery chargers made by our manufacturing partners shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 6 Months from the date of receipt. 

Standard Battery Chargers: Mobility Scooters Direct warrants to the original purchaser (user) that battery chargers designated Standard shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt.

If Mobility Scooters Direct determines the battery charger to be defective, we will ship replacement(s) without charge.

All battery chargers are subject to the following conditions and limitations:

All Other Store Items

Mobility Scooters Direct warrants to the original purchaser (user) that all other items not specifically identified on this Warranty Policy page shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt. This warranty does not include items specifically identified as not returnable as-is items on our Return Policy page. This warranty does not provide for the return of used items due to incompatibility with your application. 

All warranty claims for other store items are subject to the following conditions and limitations:

7. Any other implied warranties on these parts including, but not limited to, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed. In no event shall Mobility Scooters Direct be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages or loss. As stated herein, Mobility Scooters Direct shall not be liable for any defects in, or any breach of contracts relating to the quality or performance of the above equipment under any theory of law.

We will then e-mail you an RMA number so that you may ship your item back to us to inspect. 

Please note that the cost of shipping a warrantied item back to us for inspection is the responsibility of the customer. All warranties cover the cost of a replacement item and the cost of shipping that replacement item to the customer, but they do not cover the cost of shipping the original item back to Mobility Scooters Direct for inspection.

If our inspection confirms that the item has failed and that none of the conditions and limitations apply, then we will promptly ship you a replacement item. If the replacement item is out of stock or backordered, then we will promptly ship the item to you as soon as it becomes available to us. Mobility Scooters Direct is not liable for any damages resulting from a replacement warranty item being out of stock or backordered. If the warrantied item is temporarily or permanently unavailable, a comparable substitute item may be sent at the sole discretion of Mobility Scooters Direct.

If an item is shipped back to us for warranty inspection and we determine that the item is still in good useable condition or that the warranty was voided because one of the conditions and limitations applies, then the cost of shipping the item back to the customer will be the customer's responsibility.
